How to unlock an Android phone if you forgot the password


Forgotten Android phone password? How to unlock Android phone? Don't worry, here is how you can do it on our tutorial.

1. Unlock the phone with your Gmail Account

If you forget the unlock password of your phone, you can first try unlocking it with your Gmail Account just like the following steps: 




2. Perform a factory reset to remove unlock password

If the solution 1 doesn't work, you need then to restore the factory settings:
Note: All the data in your phone will be wiped after resetting.
Step 1. Power off your device, hold the volume down key and the power/lock key simultaneously for a few seconds. Then enter the recovery mode.
Step 2.  Go to "wipe data/factory reset" by using the volume down key. Select "Yes, delete all user data" on the device.

Step 3.  Reboot system, and you will see an unlock phone.



3. Use Android Data Recovery to remove phone's screen lock

If you don't have a Google Account and want to keep all data on the phone, then we recommend you to use Android Data Recovery instead. There is a password removal tool embedded into the program and you can easily remove your password.
Follow steps to remove your password from Android Phone:
